Vehicle Parking Plan 2023-2024

To ensure the safety of our children during busy drop off and collection times, it is necessary to have a vehicle parking plan for Dafna International school KG.

By implementing these measures, we created a vehicle parking plan outside the kindergarten that prioritizes safety, accessibility, and efficiency for all users.

Our kindergarten guard with the help of the supervisors has the main responsibility of making sure that the vehicle movements outside the premises are smoothly running.

  • Drop-off/Pick-up Zone: A designated area is allocated near the entrance for drop-off and pick-up. This area is clearly marked and easily accessible, allowing parents to quickly drop off or pick up their children without causing congestion.
  • Separate Entrance and Exit for school transport: There are a separate entrance /exit for school busses to prevent traffic jams and confusion. The parking slots are marked however the two busses are permitted to load and drop off one at a time. This area is safely away from pedestrian traffic.
  • Parking Spaces: We have provided designated parking spaces for staff, visitors, and parents who need to park for longer periods. These spaces are conveniently located but separated from the drop-off/pick-up zone to avoid congestion.
  • Safety Measures: A speed bump, traffic signs, and crosswalks are installed to ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially children. Bright colors and signage can help drivers be aware of the surroundings.
  • Clear Signage: Clear signage indicating parking areas, drop-off/pick-up zones, are available.
  • Regular Maintenance: We regularly maintain the parking area by repairing any damages, repainting lines, and keeping the area clean and free of debris.
  • Feedback and Improvement: We encourage feedback from parents, staff, and visitors regarding the parking plan. Regularly assess the effectiveness of the plan and make improvements as needed to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety.

The parents and visitors are expected to assist us in the following ways:

  • Park your vehicle outside the premises in an orderly way and walk to KG.
  • Keep your speed down.
  • Turn your engine off if leaving your vehicle.
  • Keep the school gates always clear – stopping here, even to drop off your child for a short period of time, is dangerous.
  • Do not park in the residents’ car park across the road from the school or block residents’ drives.
  • Leave the middle of the road free, with enough room for other road users to easily pass through.
  • Leave enough room for emergency vehicles to access school when necessary.
  • Make sure your child leaves and enters your vehicle safely to and from the pavement.
  • Do not double park.
  • Do not park on the pedestrian crossing.
  • Take care when reversing
